Esther O’Callaghan OBE

Executive Chair at OPERA

Esther is Executive Chair of OPERA Global Youth Foundation.  To date, OPERA has raised over £100,000 to support 700 disadvantaged young people into work.

She is the Co-Founder of connecting young people with good employers and meaningful career opportunities.

Inadvertently signing up for an IRONMAN to raise money for OPERA, led to her qualifying as a Level 1 British Triathlon Coach and Co-Founding – on a mission to empower 100,000 women through multisport.

Skills, Thrills and Bellyaches

Over 2.5 million young people in the UK languish in unemployment.  Invisible to employers, blocked from the jobs market.  Employers, recruiters, government and the media talk constantly about the lack of skills and hiring problems.   There is a powerful, untapped future workforce hiding in plain sight.

Thrive In Work has been established to redress this balance and to mobilise employers to invest in building a future skilled youth workforce by providing meaningful career opportunities for work ready young people.
